"Your Future"

The Revelation of Jesus Christ presents your future in a different way. The Great White Throne judgment will determine your forever destiny. That is, if your name is in the Book of Life, you will live forever in heaven with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If your name is not found in the Book of Life your destiny is the Lake of Fire.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT

7When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison,

8and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore.

9And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them

10And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Judgment at the Throne of God

11Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

12And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.

14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire This is the second death, the lake of fire.

15And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:7-15

The Book of Life

Now the question becomes: how do you get your name in the Book of Life? Given that each of us has a unique DNA sequence, it is easy to believe that your "name" really is your genetic code. That implies that your "name" is in the Book of Life right from the moment of conception. The Revelation of Jesus Christ indicates that it is YOUR CHOICES that will erase your "name" from the Book of Life. It is none other than Jesus Christ, Himself, who does it. This is how Jesus talks about it in the message to the church at Sardis in Revelation 3:1-6

1"To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: 'I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

2'Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.

3'So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.

4'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

5'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

6'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

It should be obvious to you that Jesus Christ is the only way to allow you into the presence of His Father, God. This is where heaven is! Jesus said it like this when He was on this earth:

1"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

2"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

4"And you know the way where I am going."

5Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"

6Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Oneness with the Father
7"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

8Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."

9Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

10"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

11"Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

John 14:1-11

It is so simple. Just believe in Jesus, and He will have a place among the "many dwelling places" (heaven) ready for you. For your part, you are committing to follow Jesus' instructions (the Bible). You willingly acknowledge that Jesus now is in control of your life, and you wish to do everything in your power to serve Him.

If you desire a forever life, please pray this prayer with me:

Dear Jesus Christ, I realize that I am a sinner. I confess my sins before You and God. I accept the fact that you died and rose again that I may have eternal life. I ask you to come unto my life and take control of it. I believe in the name of Jesus and from now on, I am committed to doing Your will.

By faith, I accept your free gift of eternal life because You love me. My commitment to You is to ever confess Your Name, Jesus, before all men.

Amen.

If you prayed the prayer of faith above, tell Jesus that you love Him every day. Study His Words, the Bible, so that you will get to know Him personally. In return, Jesus will show you His purpose for your life. Pray daily to Jesus just as you would talk with a brother or sister. He hears you and understands your praises and hurts. Tell your friends and neighbors that you now have eternal life.

Lastly, find a fellowship of believers and join together with them so that you may study God's Word, the Bible together.
