Verse 4 (NASB)
Home New International Version God's WordTM 中文 Español Deutsch
4. And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men should slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
And another, A RED HORSE, went out;The RED symbolizes bloodshed, as we shall see
The white horseman in verse 2 denotes a period of "uneasy" peace. BUT once PEACE is removed from the earth, all elements of society, political and religious, will fight one with another TO DEATH. If the Comforter, Holy Spirit, is the One who restrains all out war, then for this event to take place, one would conclude that the Holy Spirit has been removed from active duty on this earth. He may have come up in the "raptured" saints, as some believe Revelation 4:1 indicates. We are seeing the first vestages of this in our society today where teenagers and young adults are killing each other without remorse and without even the slightest respect for life itself, apparently.
This symbolizes a GREAT slaughter. In 2 Kings 3:22-23, the Moabites were duped or fooled by red water as blood! Christ uses the expression of a sword as the antithesis of peace, Matthew 10:34-39. And again in Matthew 24:9, we find killing is part of the tribulation.
THE DELUSION IS OVER ... THIS IS REAL! (2 Thessalonians 2:6-11-15)
