Your Future

The Revelation of Jesus Christ presents your future in a different way. The Great White Throne judgment will determine your forever destiny. That is, if your name is in the Book of Life, you will live forever in heaven with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If your name is not found in the Book of Life your destiny is the Lake of Fire.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT

7When 1,000 years are over, Satan will be freed from his prison. 8He will go out to deceive Gog and Magog, the nations in the four corners of the earth, and gather them for war. They will be as numerous as the grains of sand on the seashore. 9 {I saw that} they spread over the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s holy people and the beloved city. Fire came from heaven and burned them up. 10The devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were also thrown. They will be tortured day and night forever and ever.
11I saw a large, white throne and the one who was sitting on it. The earth and the sky fled from his presence, but no place was found for them. 12I saw the dead, both important and unimportant people, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened, including the Book of Life. The dead were judged on the basis of what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13The sea gave up its dead. Death and hell gave up their dead. People were judged based on what they had done. 14Death and hell were thrown into the fiery lake. (The fiery lake is the second death.) 15Those whose names were not found in the Book of Life were thrown into the fiery lake.

                                                                                           Revelation 20:7-15

Now the question becomes: how do you get your name in the Book of Life? Given that each of us has a unique DNA sequence, it is easy to believe that your "name" really is your genetic code. That implies that your "name" is in the Book of Life right from the moment of conception. The Revelation of Jesus Christ indicates that it is your choices that will erase your "name" from the Book of Life. And it is none other than Jesus Christ who does it. This is how Jesus talks about it in the message to the church at Sardis in Revelation 3:1-6

1“To the messenger of the church in Sardis, write:
The one who has God’s seven spirits and the seven stars says: I know what you have done. You are known for being alive, but you are dead. 2Be alert, and strengthen the things that are left which are about to die. I have found that what you are doing has not been completed in the sight of my God. 3So remember what you received and heard. Obey, and change the way you think and act. If you’re not alert, I’ll come like a thief. You don’t know when I will come. 4But you have a few people in Sardis who have kept their clothes clean. They will walk with me in white clothes because they deserve it.
5Everyone who wins the victory this way will wear white clothes. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge them in the presence of my Father and his angels. 6Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.

It should be obvious to you that Jesus Christ is the only way to allow you into the presence of His Father, God. Jesus said it like this when He was on this earth:

1“Don’t be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in me. 2My Father’s house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you? 3If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going.”
5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going. So how can we know the way?”
6Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me. 7If you have known me, you will also know my Father. From now on you know him {through me} and have seen him {in me}; ”
8Philip said to Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will satisfy us.”
9Jesus replied, “I have been with all of you for a long time. Don’t you know me yet, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? What I’m telling you doesn’t come from me. The Father, who lives in me, does what he wants. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me. Otherwise, believe me because of the things I do.

It is so simple. Just believe in Jesus, and He will have a place in "My Father's house" (heaven) ready for you. For your part, you are committing to follow Jesus' instructions (the Bible). You are willingly acknowledging Jesus now is in control of your life, and you wish to do everything in your power to serve Him.

If you desire a forever life, please pray this prayer with me:
Dear Jesus Christ, I realize that I am a sinner. I confess my sins before You and God. I accept the fact that you died and rose again that I may have eternal life. I ask you to come unto my life and take control of it. I believe in the name of Jesus and from now on, I am committed to doing Your will.
By faith, I accept your free gift of eternal life because You love me. My commitment to You is to ever confess Your Name, Jesus, before all men.
                                        Amen.
If you prayed the prayer of faith above, tell Jesus that you love Him every day. Study His Words, the Bible, so that you will get to know Him personally. In return, Jesus will show you His purpose for your life. Pray daily to Jesus just as you would talk with a brother or sister. He hears you and understands your praises and hurts. Tell your friends and neighbors that you now have eternal life.
